Hot Dick

I've lost interest in most contemporary comics because new comics these days cost $3 and don't contain enough story to justify the expense. I have been reading old stuff from my collection like the Wolfman/Perez revival of the Teen Titans from the 1980s.

Marv Wolfman developed teen sidekicks like the original Robin, Dick Grayson into interesting and complex characters. Dick finally retires the elf shoes and green undies and step out of Batman's shadow and into the role of Nightwing. During the first 3 years of this series, George Perez really matured into an artist and his work is simply stunning despite the awful printing methods used back then.
